        I am one of those rare Colorado natives, born and raised in a then much smaller Colorado Springs.  While in college I married an Air Force man and experienced the life of a military wife for nearly 20 years.  I lived in wonderful places like Holland, West Berlin and the Pacific Northwest.  When that phase of life was over, I could hardly wait to come home to the mountains!  We bought our piece of mountain heaven and built our dream log home in 1989.  I started my real estate career that same year and have enjoyed selling mountain property to happy buyers ever since!
       Buying mountain property requires a Realtor with an in-depth knowledge of the area.  I can offer experience and knowledge of this beautiful area that few can claim.  For nearly 9 years, I served as county appraiser.  My field appraisal experience gave me a valuable education and a unique perspective that most Realtors do not enjoy.  In an effort to take my real estate career to a higher level, I earned professional designations as a GRI and e-pro.  I am a member of Pikes Peak Association of Realtors, Colorado Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.  Although I am a licensed Certified General Appraiser, I no longer do appraisals.  However, the education and experience I gained through my years in appraisal  serves me exceedingly well as a Realtor.
       Every morning, I take my first cup of coffee out on the deck.  As I revel in the beauty of the land where I live, the sun warming my face, I thank God for the privilege of living in the mountains!  Each afternoon, my dogs and cats (yes-my cats!) take a hike with me, regardless of the weather.  In the silence of the mountains , I clear my mind of life's clutter during these long walks in the mountains.  At night, as I sip my hot chocolate or glass of wine, I never tire of gazing at the amazing blanket of stars that city dwellers never get to see.
        In an effort to give back to my community, I currently serve as a board member with Teller County Habitat for Humanity and I volunteer with the Little Chapel in the Hills Food Pantry ministry.  Whenever I have the opportunity, I enjoy substitute teaching at Cresson Elementary in Cripple Creek.  There are so many ways to volunteer and make a difference in this mountain community!  We enjoy a quality of life that enhances our sense of well-being and independence.
